About Allison
With an extreme love of fashion, styling, and all things pretty, Allison set out to create an online fashion boutique, Aspiring Couture, with the purpose of engaging the world in independent fashion. She then created a series of fashion shows with over 40 local and international aspiring designers and sponsors such as Rebecca Minkoff, Vitamin Water, and US Trendy.
Inspired by pretty yet again, and now with a newly placed rock on her finger, Allison took on wedding industry and all its glory by creating her own blog, Engaged & Inspired. Allison creates and finds the best color palettes, stylings, weddings, and fashion to showcase. She attended the Academy of Art Institute, studying fashion design and photography.
Besides her entrepreneurial activities, Allison writes freelance for several fashion and wedding blogs such as LVC Magazine, Tweet My Wedding, and Smart Bride.
Working or not working, she can be seen with her computer at Peets. Her off time consists of planning her wedding, going on bike rides around town, styling photo shoots, or decorating her new house.

Hi Allison,
I was just asked to do Berkeley Patch's calendar. Don F. gave me your contact info.
I seek your advice because your calendar looks good.
Specifically, I want to know how I can make events rotate as fast as possible on the homepage. (The events rarely change -- I've attached a screen shot). The more dynamic the page looks, the more enticed people will be to click through to the calendar itself and (I hope) to enter their own events, since more goes on in Berkeley than one person can ever enter in).
Also, do you have a system or any kind of order you use when updating the calendar each week? month?
Any advice would be most welcome,
Thanks,
Barbara Wilcox

Thank you, Melinda Lightfoot, Sanchez Art Center Program Director

Better do something about the post on the Celtic Tiger exhibit. Ireland is in deep trouble now. The Tiger is a pussy cat.
