Redwood City’s unemployment rate was 7.5 percent in November 2011. Numbers were not yet available for December 2011 on the state’s Employment Development Department’s website. Though this number was far less than the state-wide rate of 10.9 percent, there are 3,100 people unemployed.
Yet the search for job opportunities has become exponentially easier with dozens of job postings every day available via social media.
Using Twitter hashtags and search terms, you can pull up all Tweets that are offering jobs in Redwood City.
Even on Martin Luther King, Jr., day, employers still took the time to post job opportunities.
