Mayors and elected officials deliver hot meals to residents around the Peninsula.

Every day, members of Peninsula Volunteers deliver hot meals to homebound adults and families in South San Mateo County.

But today, mayors made a special guest appearance to chat with their constituents and provide the human contact that so many people lack on a daily basis.

Mayors said opportunities like these to reach out to the community and communicate directly were expressly why they became politicians.

Participants included:

  • Vice Mayor Alicia Aguirre, Redwood City
  • Mayor Omar Ahmad, San Carlos
  • Mayor Rich Cline, Menlo Park
  • Mayor Jim Dobbie, Atherton
  • Mayor Ted Driscoll, Portola Valley
  • Mayor Carlos Romero, East Palo Alto
  • Mayor Ron Romines, Woodside
  • Supervisor Don Horsley, District 3

Thank you Peninsula Volunteers for all the extraordinary programs you do for seniors in our community. Meals on Wheels has been providing hot meals for the home bound seniors for decades. I am proud to have been a past employee of Peninsula Volunteers Rosener House. Your programs are STELLAR!!!
