The Redwood City Branch of Wells Fargo Bank held the first open gallery of the event "Celebrate Art!", created by the Art in Action program run by parent volunteers of the Redwood City School District. The reception Saturday displayed the creative works of students from Kindergarten through 8th grade, was free to the public and was representative of Redwood City schools.

Teachers, parents, students and community members alike flocked to the Wells Fargo Bank on Veteran's Blvd. to view these original and unique student creations.  The gallery housed over 50 individual art projects, ranging from glittering collages to delicately painted scrolls, all of which have been inspired by a famous painter or art movement.

This week's View Finder is a "close-up" look into the creative heart of our schools, showcasing the talents of Redwood City youngsters as they learn to "Celebrate Art!"
